Research areas
The research activities of the IoT Research Institute consists of two layers.

The first builds upon the academic research basis of the Eszterházy Károly University and is about performing fundamental research tasks on high level in the field of informatics and mathematics. The second is performing applied research and development on the various new segments of information technology, that have high practical relevance. The latter is done in close cooperation with our industrial partners.

The main application areas of our research:

  • Product tracking
  • Quality assurance in food industry and food tracking by mounted sensors on RFID devices
  • RFID tracking technologies used in animal husbandry and animal health monitoring by sensor technologies
  • Product potential assessment(e.g.: crop production, viticulture, forestry) using sensor networks
  • Product potential assessment using robotics (drone) and hiperspectral aerial imaging
