The aim of the project is to establish specialized research groups to promote the development of the Tokaj wine region. The established research units are the followings: viticulture and plant protection research group, food science and oenology research group, terroir and landscape ecology research group, rural development research group in addition to the IT and quality assurance research group. They also involve young researchers, PhD and university students.
One of the most essential tasks of the research groups is to extend the professional network of the university to prepare cooperations with potential H2020 partners. It is also important to promote the communication between entrepreneurs, institutions of higher education and researchers to accomplish R+D based on real market demands.
In this project we developed a mobile application for the field work of biologist called OpenBioMaps. This was based on a biological database established by a community consisting of the WWF, ELTE, DU and Duna-Ioply National Park. The detailes of this application can be foud here.
